How it works
Ultherapy Prime® technology is innovative because it can achieve visible lifting and tightening results without surgery. This is made possible by the device’s ability to deliver ultrasound energy with exceptional precision to the deeper layers of connective tissue and the SMAS (Superficial Musculoaponeurotic System), the same structural layer targeted during a surgical facelift.
During the first phase of the Ultherapy treatment, the physician delivers ultrasound energy deep into the targeted tissues, creating controlled thermal coagulation points that trigger tissue contraction and the body’s natural regenerative response. This helps produce an initial tightening effect, with lifting results continuing to develop gradually over time.
During the second phase, the physician delivers ultrasound energy selectively to more superficial layers, stimulating fibroblast activity and the production of new collagen. This further supports tightening and regeneration within the upper layers of the skin. Both phases are completed during the same session, after which patients can return to their normal daily activities.
In cases of more pronounced skin laxity, an additional treatment may be recommended 3–6 months after the initial session.
